A couple of weeks ago TiaKnits had a contest. She had some single balls of yarn that she didn't know what to do with, so decided to give them away. All you had to do was leave a comment telling her what you would do with the yarn. She drew a name out of a pail, and voila! I've been trying to decide what to make with them. I had said I would make socks, but now that I see them, I may decide to make something else. Decisions, decisions. It's Koigu. All the balls have pink, which I love, but one has a very strong blue that I'm not sure would play nicely with the other colors. I'll eventually figure it out and post it here.

I won! I won!

BSJ Photo
Here's the picture that was supposed come through in the original post. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to do this the right way.
Tyler's Baby Surprise Jacket
Last Tuesday, Feb. 26, we became grandparents. Until now, I hadn't made anything for the little guy. How awful a grandmother am I? But, now I'm working on this. It's EZ's Baby Surprise Jacket. I'm using Austemann Step yarn and Fortissima Socka yarn on size 4 Addi Turbos. I'm not a huge fan of garter stitch, but I'm loving the way this is coming out. I haven't found the buttons that I'll use; it'll give me an excuse to go shopping. I doubt that I have any appropriate here.

2 Posts in One Day
That's only because I couldn't figure out how to get both pictures in the same post. These are made with Opal yarn in the Petticoat colorway. Can you see the pink theme developing already? I will confess right here and now that I love pink. I'm not a very frilly kind of gal, but pink is my color. These were also made on size 1 Plymouth Bamboo DPN's.
A long overdue FO
These have been sitting in my knitting basket for about a year just waiting for me to weave the ends in. Yes, it is sad and pathetic. I seem to be in finishing mode lately, and I'm liking it. These are made with Lorna's Laces which I've lost the ball band to, so I'm not sure what the color is called. It's mostly pink and green with some blue. Very pretty. I used size 1 Plymouth bamboo needles dpns.
